I Can Fix it

When in school, Josie experiences teasing and bullying from her classmates. To others, Josie appears shy or not friendly and she often gets angry when something confuses her. What they don’t know is Josie has Aspergers Syndrome. Facing numerous obstacles, she meets Iris the Dragon. With Iris’s help, Josie learns how to relate to others and develop resilience in her life, and helping her peers identify with the thoughts, feelings, and actions of one who lives with an autism spectrum disorder.

Lucky Horseshoes

Skippy finds it very hard to concentrate at school. Loud sounds and even lights are distracting. She finds that daydreaming or getting up and moving helps her control the distractions – but in doing so disrupts the class. When these feelings boil over into frustration, Skippy’s mother connects her with a doctor where she learns about her Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With the help of Iris, her mother and doctor, Skippy learns productive ways to stay on task and how to better manage her feelings when upset or angry.
