Jennifer is an emerging Psychotherapist and longtime Registered Midwife whose practice is grounded in relational care, cultural humility, and the decolonization of mental health. With over a decade of experience supporting individuals through birth, identity shifts in parenting, and perinatal mental health, she brings deep presence and compassion to those navigating life’s most profound transitions. Jennifer’s trauma-aware, culturally responsive approach is shaped by her lived experience as a mixed-race Black woman and her commitment to anti-oppressive, healing-centered care. She integrates psychodynamic, somatic, narrative, and solution-focused modalities to create affirming therapeutic spaces that honour complexity and foster authentic connection. While she is deeply experienced in reproductive and perinatal care, Jennifer also supports clients across a wide range of life experiences, including identity exploration, racial and intergenerational trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, and relationship challenges. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing is non-linear, personal, and intimately tied to the systems we live within. Jennifer is currently training as a Death Doula, expanding her scope of care to include end-of-life and grief work. Whether she is walking alongside someone at the beginning of life, at its end, or through one of the many thresholds in between, Jennifer meets each client with grounded empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for their story.
